Qi Jiguang Park (Xishan) in Ningde

Qi Jiguang Park, also known as “Xishan”, is located in the western part of Ningde county town. To commemorate the heroic achievements of national hero Qi Jiguang in resisting Japanese pirates, farmers of Jiguang Village spontaneously raised funds to build the park. The park is sheltered by the peak of Baihe Mountain, centered around Lingxi Chan Temple, with Jingsi Temple and Lay Buddhist House flanking the left and right. It features eighteen scenic spots, including the large statue of Qi Jiguang, Purple Bamboo Guanyin, Baihe Pavilion, Panliang Cave, Yunü Pool, Sanxian Cave, Longzhu Pavilion, Baiyun Cave, Hongqiao Bridge, Lingguang Cave, and Si’er Pavilion.
